a place for your daily routine.

Choose a toiletry bag around the items you actually use, the way you open it and where it will sit during your trip.

Build the kit before choosing the bag.

Lay out your usual morning and evening essentials. Remove duplicates and items you will not use on this trip. Keep any item that has specific storage instructions in its appropriate packaging.

Check the height and width of your largest container, plus the space the entire group takes up. Allow room to open and close the pouch without pressing hard against lids or pumps.

Compare the way you will use it

01

At a sink

Consider your available counter space and how the bag opens. A wide opening can make contents easier to see, but the open bag still needs somewhere to sit.

02

Inside your luggage

Measure the filled kit against the space left beside clothing and shoes. Check its corners and closure instead of relying on the product's size name.

03

While getting ready

Keep frequently used items together. Decide whether you want one kit or smaller groups you can move to the place you use them.

A simple packing routine

  1. Check every closure

Inspect lids and caps and follow the container manufacturer's instructions. Keep items upright when their packaging requires it.

  2. Separate where needed

Keep brushes and other items you want clean apart from used items. A pouch does not replace appropriate liquid containers or a protective cover.

  3. Check travel rules separately

Review the current requirements of your carrier and destination for the items you carry. A bag's appearance or product name does not establish acceptance.

  4. Reset after the trip

Empty the bag, inspect it for residue and follow its specific care instructions. Replace or refill containers as appropriate for the product inside.
